Weekend Wanderlust:: April 19-21
This weekend marks the end of school vacation week for a lot of you (phew!), so we know you are looking for some fun activities to occupy the kiddos. It is also Earth Day on Monday, so there are tons of great celebrations. Here are a few things going on in Boston, NYC & Chicago.
What: Earth Day Celebration Party for the Planet! Franklin Park Zoo teams up with Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts and the Cambridge Science Festival to present a fun and engaging day to raise awareness for the planet. Activities include opportunities to meet the zookeepers, animal enrichment activities, and scavenger hunts.
Where: Franklin Park Zoo, One Franklin Park Road, Boston, MA
When: Sunday, April 21, 10:00am to 5:00pm
Cost: Adults $17, Children (ages 2-12) $14

2) New York
What: New York Hall of Science – The Science Playground. Through dozens of playground elements like slides, seesaws, sand pits, and fog machines, visitors of all ages and abilities can explore the scientific principles of motion, balance, sound, sight and simple machines, as well as sun, wind and water.
When: Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 6 pm (weather permitting)
Where: 47-01 111th St, Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, Queens
Cost: Admission (45 minute session) is $4 per person, plus general NYSCI admissions

What: Celebrate Earth Day! Make eco-friendly crafts and take part in a sustainable scavenger hunt.
Where: Lurie Garden in the South East Corner of Millennium Park
